Do you know what’s dope? Finding new food spots to indulge in as a regular pasttime. Public School 404 came on my radar early last year when my boss at the time treated my co-worker and I to lunch on business.
I fell instantly in love with the gastropub’s aesthetic and on the nose design touches to the interior that mimicked school days. The menus looked like composition notebooks, napkins that were notebook paper-inspired, and equations sprinkled here and there throughout. Their edamame hummus changed my life and made me rethink my aversion to the food altogether.
I went back recently (re: this summer) when my best friend and I were on the hunt for something good to eat that was close, but not too close to where I lived and subsequently frequented. Public School 404 for the win! It was a beautiful time playing catch up, enjoying bomb food, and soaking in the energy of the atmosphere around you.
I had an appetizer of Caesar salad. For my entree, I had the skirt steak tacos and a side order of loaded mashed potatoes (bacon lardons, chives, tillamook white cheddar, horseradish crème fraiche). All of it was DIVINE.
